Care Bags
No child in foster care should be subjected to carrying their belongings in trash bags. Care bags include a comfy blanket, hygiene kit, a book about foster care, and a designated mentor

Mentoring program
Become a mentor by visiting with a child currently in the foster care system. Child Advocates currently services half of all children in foster care be becoming court appointed Guardian at litems. What about the other half? Dedicate a few hours a month, or as often as you can to visiting with a child in foster care to provide comfort, a listening ear and a smiling face. Background checks are mandatory and training is required

After Care
Once CPS closes their cases, children are either returned to the parents, adopted, remain in foster care or remain wards of the state. Continuing education, and support are needed for children once CPS is no longer involved or when they age out of the system, 18+. An after care mentor helps children transition to their next chapter in life
